What is Sessions Nano?
Sessions Nano is a compact audio mixer and AUv3 host for iPhone and iPad. It lets musicians connect audio and MIDI gear, mix live audio, add effects, play virtual instruments, host MIDI sequencers and generators, play backing tracks, record performances and more.
By stripping away complexity and getting back to basics, Sessions Nano provides a less distracting environment that helps maintain a clear focus on being creative. Neatly organised in a visual, uncluttered design, everything needed to make music is just a tap away making it ideal for mobile producers and performers.

Gordon Murrison, product lead at Open Planet said “We’re delighted to announce a new addition to the Sessions family - Sessions Nano distills the DNA of Sessions Pro into a simpler, more compact form that’s perfect for making music on the go. Features like 5 minute continuous recording make it the ideal musical scratchpad for mobile producers and the simple design and external MIDI hardware control features make it the ultimate portable rig for live performers.”
About Open Planet
Open Planet Software have been making apps and games for Apple platforms since 2007. They’re a small team with a diverse range of experience that includes science, engineering, music production and performance, 3D graphics, game development, retro console emulation, GIS and digital mapping as well as their core app design and development skills.
They have developed a catalogue of their own apps that includes the popular Just Press Record which has been featured on the App Store, shown on-stage at WWDC and won ‘App of Year’ and other press accolades. Their apps are developed entirely by the in-house team - not AI - so they know their products inside out.
They have also worked for a broad range of clients that include Epic Games (Metal rendering in the Unreal Engine), Feral Interactive (Mac ports of LEGO Harry Potter, Bioshock 2 and Sonic Racing), Splice (Mac DAW syncing and collaboration), Bohemian Coding (Sketch), Forrest Pruzan (Disney’s Storymation Studio) and Knowledge Rocks (iPad sheet music app).
